OFFICIAL RULES

Pickleball Magazine x Wild Dunes Resort x Pickleball in the Sun Sweepstakes

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

1. Sponsor & Administrator

The Sweepstakes is sponsored by:

  • Pickleball Magazine

  • Pickleball in the Sun

("Sponsors")

Wild Dunes Resort is responsible for prize fulfillment and tax reporting.

2. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of the Sponsors and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and/or household members are not eligible to enter or win.

3. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (“Sweepstakes Period”). The Sponsors’ computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes.

4. How to Enter

During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible individuals may enter via Instagram by completing all of the following steps on the official Sweepstakes post:

  1. Like the giveaway post;

  2. Follow @pickleball.magazine, @wilddunesresort, and @pickleballinthesun on Instagram;

  3. Comment on the post and tag at least one (1) friend.

    • Each unique tag = one (1) entry.

For an optional bonus entry:

  • Share the giveaway post to your Instagram Story and tag @wilddunesresort, @pickleball.magazine AND @pickleballinthesun.

No purchase is required to enter or win. Multiple entries allowed via multiple unique tagged friends. Automated or bot entries are prohibited.

5. Winner Selection

One (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted on or about Monday, January 26, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. Winner Notification

The selected potential winner will be notified via direct message from the @pickleball.magazine Instagram account. The potential winner must respond within 72 hours of notification. Failure to respond within the required timeframe or failure to meet eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected at the Sponsors’ discretion.

The winner may be required to:

  • Complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, and

  • Complete and return a W-9 form for tax purposes.

7. Prize

The winner will receive the following prize package:

  • Two (2) night stay for two (2) at The Sweetgrass Inn at Wild Dunes Resort Subject to availability and blackout holiday dates

  • Two (2) hours of court time

  • One (1) pickleball or tennis clinic for one guest

  • $125 daily food & beverage credit

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): To Be Determined based on standard rates and provided by Wild Dunes Resort.

Any difference between actual and ARV will not be awarded. Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

Travel, transportation, incidentals, and any expenses not expressly listed are the responsibility of the winner.

8. Taxes

The winner is responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes. Wild Dunes Resort will determine the ARV of the prize and, if applicable, issue a Form 1099-MISC for the calendar year in which the prize is awarded.

The winner must provide a completed W-9 prior to booking or receiving the prize.

9. Publicity Release

Except where prohibited, participation constitutes the winner’s consent for Sponsors to use their name, likeness, city/state of residence, and entry for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.

10. General Conditions

Sponsors reserve the right to:

  • Cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, tampering, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes.

  • Disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules.

Sponsors are not responsible for:

  • lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries

  • technical issues

  • social media outages

  • or any errors beyond their control.

11. Release of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless:

  • Sponsors,

  • Meta/Instagram,

  • and their respective affiliates, officers, employees, and agents

from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from participation or acceptance/use of the prize.

12. Instagram Disclaimer

This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. You understand you are providing your information to the Sponsors, not Instagram.

13. Dispute Resolution

All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any action or proceeding shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in South Carolina.

14. Winner List

The winner’s name (first name + last initial) will be announced on Instagram on Monday, January 26, 2026, and may also be requested by contacting Pickleball Magazine.


15. Prize Redemption: 

Prize must be redeemed by December 22, 2026, and is subject to availability at the time of booking. Blackout dates apply, including holidays and peak travel periods. Advance reservations are required, and all prize elements must be used during the same stay. Unused portions of the prize will be forfeited and have no cash value.
